Ingredients

Instructions

Ingredients

  • Two 6 ounce Cod portions, skinless and boneless
  • ¼ cup Low sodium soy sauce

Seasoned Flour

  • 1 ½ lbs. Flour
  • 1 tbsp. Paprika
  • 1 tbsp. Kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp. Dried basil
  • 1 tbsp. Cayenne powder
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. Onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. Dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp. White pepper
  • 1 tbsp. Dried thyme
  • 1 tbsp. Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix all seasoned flour ingredients well. Store at room temperature in a dry place with a tight cover. Use this seasoned flour for all your favorite whitefish (cod, haddock, swordfish, pollock, etc.)!
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F or air-fryer to 375°F
  3. Dip your cod portion into a pool of low sodium soy sauce. Allow to sit in soy sauce for 30 seconds – 1 minute.
  4. Shake off excess sauce and dip both sides into seasoned flour.
  5. Spray sheet pan with cooking oil. Add fish to sheet pans and brush top with oil.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes or Air Fry for 8-10 minutes. If more color is desired, broil until a deep golden brown is achieved (1-2 minutes).
  7. Check for doneness by gently pushing the flat side of a wooden skewer through the thickest part of the fish. If it goes through with no resistance, it is done. If there is resistance, cook for another minute or so and test again.
