Sockeye has a firm, meaty texture with a rich, buttery flavor and a brilliant blood orange color. This fish is great for grilling, but responds well to just about every cooking method. Every portion is hand-cut fresh to order.

THE CUT: 10 oz. skin-on, boneless portions are hand-cut to order. Cut it in half and make (2) perfect 5 oz. portions, or cook as is!

Preheat your grill on high to get it very hot. Pat your salmon dry and brush with avocado oil on both sides. Season with your favorite spice mix, or keep it simple with salt and pepper. Place salmon skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes, then flip. Cook 4-7 more minutes until done.
Preheat your oven to 375°F Pat your salmon dry and brush with avocado oil on both sides. Coat with your choice of spices, or salt and pepper. Place salmon skin side down in a baking dish and bake for 10-15 minutes or until done. Serve immediately with fresh lemon slices.
Wild Sockeye Salmon is best served medium rare-medium with an internal temperature of 115-130°F.

We had only tried Sockeye salmon once or twice before, but we could taste a clear difference when we ordered from North Coast. Mild but still flavorful, flaky, and so incredibly fresh. Would order again whenever it's in season!
